The Early Music Ensemble of Moravian College presents "Scholarship in Performance," 7 p.m. Oct. 27, Peter Hall, Priscilla Payne Hurd Campus, Moravian College, Bethlehem. The program features medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music related to scholarly projects undertaken by Moravian College students, left, under the direction of Professor Larry Lipkis. Among the highlights will be newly-transcribed songs by the little-known 17th century French composer Julie Pinel, as well as two fully staged choruses and arias from an opera by J. A. Hasse, "La Spartana Generosa," which has not been performed since its premiere in 1748. Information: 610-861-1650
