·Oct. 15-19, Homecoming Week. Float building will occur all day at the bus garage behind the football stadium on Oct. 18. This year's theme is "The Show Must Go On" in support of maintaining education for the performing arts in public schools. The theme will be depicted in floats during a Homecoming parade at half-time during the football game.

·Oct. 18: Jaindl Family Night, 6-8:30 p.m. Families will play bingo and visit the book fair and enter to win a prize drawing of "a book and a snack during school hours with reading specialist Ms. Pearson and Principal Mrs. Schantz."
·Oct. 22: Second annual Pumpkin Chuckin' Contest, 3:15 p.m. outside the C-wing.
Sponsored by the Spanish Honor Society, which raised more than $300 for Meals on Wheels last year.
Students and staff may donate to the staff member that they believe can throw the pumpkins the greatest distance.
Students will throw for distance prior to competing against the staff members. Only the top five students will complete against the teachers. Students pay $5 each to enter the contest.

·Tickets are on sale now for Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella," the high school's fall children's show, at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 8; 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Nov. 9 and 3 p.m. Nov. 10.
The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rodgers and Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm and elegance.
Originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella" was the most widely viewed program in the history of the medium.
As adapted for the stage, with great warmth and more than a touch of hilarity, the hearts of children and adults alike will soar when the slipper fits.
A Fairy God-Mother, Prince Charming and a horse-drawn pumpkin turned into a carriage will delight the whole family in this "Getting to Know" Cinderella adaptation.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and senior citizens.
