Wayne W. Gamble
Wayne W. Gamble, 66, of Salisbury Township, died suddenly while on a cruise vacation Oct. 4, 2013. He was the husband of Linda (Neff) Gamble. They celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary June 28. He was a son of the late John and Laura (Hauber) Gamble.
He graduated from William Allen High School in 1966 and Temple University in 1979.
He was a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corp and served his country in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967.
Prior to retiring in 2004, he was an electrical instructor at Lehigh Career and Technical Institute for 31 years and owned Wayne W. Gamble Electric for 40 years. He received the "Outstanding Vocational Educator Award" in 2001 and was a volunteer judge in electrical trades for Skills USA.
He was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Lehigh Consistory and member of New Temple Lodge #720. Other memberships included the National Education Association, Pennsylvania State Education Association, Fearless Fire Company, Unami Club, and VFW Post #7088, Emmaus.
He loved traveling, especially cruising and died on his favorite island, Bermuda.
He is survived by his wife; son, John and his wife, Elaine, of Allentown; daughter, Angela Irwin, of Salisbury Township; grandsons, Devin and Lucas Irwin; sister, Barbara Holzer, of Allentown; aunt, Helen O'Hanlon, of Philadelphia; mother-in-law, Ruth Zellner, of Macungie; sister-in-law, Mary of Allentown; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ellen and Barry Miller, of Macungie; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Debbie Neff, of Seattle, Wash.; nine nephews; 14 nieces. He was predeceased by brothers, John Jr., Ronald and Ellis; sisters, Jacqueline Andrews and Phyllis.

Services will be held noon Wednesday in the Stephens Funeral Home Inc., 1335-37 W. Linden St. Call 11 a.m. until the time of service.
