Charles H. Schaffer, 78, of Emmaus, died Oct. 8, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Christine F. (Hallman) Schaffer. Born in Limeport, he was the son of the late Horace and Meri Schaffer.

He worked for Air Products for 52 years, retiring in 2007.

He honorably served his country in the Army.

He was a member of Upper Milford and Alburtis Rod and Gun clubs.

He is survived by his wife; son, James B. and his wife Donna, of Emmaus; daughter, Kathy S., of Washington; brother, Horace, of Quakertown; sister, Mary Maitz, of Coopersburg; grandchildren, Christopher, Steve, Courtney, William and Cassaundra; two great-grandchildren.
