St. Luke's Hospital and the Hospice/Visiting Nurse Association will host a volunteer open house 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Oct. 11 for people interested in volunteering in a health care setting.

The open house will take place in the volunteer office in the east lobby at 1736 Hamilton St., Allentown.

Volunteer opportunities include patient advocates, operating room waiting room liaisons, gift shop assistants, clerical assistants, patient companionship, patient and family support and outreach.
