The North Catasauqua WE SING Community Chorus will be hold its annual fall concert Sunday Oct. 20, at 3 p.m. at the Roxy Theatre in Northampton.
WE SING is a community chorus comprised of members throughout the Lehigh Valley.
This year's annual concert will benefit Matt Globosits and his diabetic alert dog, Zuker.
Matt is a 15-year-old boy from Whitehall who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes Dec. 26. The day drastically changed his life. Throughout the past year Matt has experienced many high and low blood sugar counts. However, it only took one scary low blood sugar count to make the call to Warren Retrievers for a Diabetic alert dog.
Diabetic alert dogs are trained to assist diabetics by recognizing scent and in alerting another member of the household if the diabetic does not respond.
Matt has been given a fundraising goal of $24,000 in order to supplement the cost of training his precious pup.
The entire community is invited to attend this concert.
