Henry Robert Duell, 85, died Sept. 28, 2013, in his home in Bethlehem. Born in Tamaqua, he was a son of the late Norris T. and Loretta (Rosenstock) Duell. He was the husband of Lois E. (Kenvin) Duell for 57 years.

He was a 1947 graduate of Hazelton High School.

He was in the U.S. Army for two years. He then was in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. New Jersey for four years during the Korean Conflict.

He was a maintenance supervisor for GATX. After his retirement, he was in real estate and real estate investing.

He was also a member of Calvary Wesleyan Church.

He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons and was a 50 year member of the Hazel Lodge.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Gary R. and his wife Diane, Lynn E. and her fiancé John SanFilippo and David A. and his fiance Danette Martin; a brother, Walter G. and his wife Joan Duell; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley and Nathan Duell, Christina and her husband Rob Slaybaugh, Andrew and Jacob Morgan and Taylor and Kylie Martin; and two great-grandchildren Keira and Logan Slaybaugh.
