Robert R. Kalb

Robert R. "Bob" Kalb, 64, of Allentown died suddenly Sept. 22, 2013. He was the husband of Dolores "Dee" (Bohunicky) Kalb, with whom he celebrated 14 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Robert and Betty Kalb.

A 1967 graduate of Parkland High School, he continued his education at Lehigh County Community College.

He was a talented athlete having played basketball, baseball and football for the South Parkland Youth Association.

A self-employed business owner for over 30 years, he owned Lehigh Capital Access Inc., Allentown. He was one of the originators of both municipal leasing in the United States and American Indian Tribal Financing.

He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.

He organized the Ambassador Golf Cup Charity to benefit the Allentown Rescue Mission for 10 years. He was a member of the Porsche Club of North America and especially enjoyed Porsche caravans.

He is survived by his wife; daughters Nicole and her husband Daniel Posipanko, of Macungie and Jessica and her husband Nick Belt, of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Nicholas, Samantha and Alexander; uncles; aunts; cousins; many cherished friends.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Heart Association, 212 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, 18018 or the Allentown Rescue Mission, 355 W. Hamilton St., Allentown, 18105-0748.

Arrangements were made by the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown.
