Leo F. Kressley, 102, of Macungie and formerly of Emmaus, died Oct. 5, 2013, at Lehigh Center. He was the husband of the late Wilma M. (Holben) Kressley. Born in New Tripoli, he was a son of the late Elmer F. and Ida (Werley) Kressley.
He and his wife were owners of Kressley's Cree-mee Freez, Shimersville, for 17 years, retiring in 1974. He was a farmer for many years. He worked for the former Lehigh Portland Cement Company, Fogelsville; the New Tripoli Phone Company as a linesman; drove school students in the current Northwestern Lehigh School District; and raised and sold fish.
He was a member of Weisenberg Lutheran Church, New Tripoli, where he served on church council for many years.
He was a member of the Grundsow Lodge, Emmaus.
He is survived by a daughter, Elaine and her husband Frederick Ritter, of Allentown; a son, Neil and his wife Helen, of Emmaus; two sisters, Althea Dengler and Lillian Gressley, both of New Tripoli; four grandsons, Michael, Terry and Randy Ritter, and Jeffery; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Ralph, Clyde and Raymond; and a sister, Mabel Bittner.
Visitation will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 10, at Keller Funeral Homes Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville, and 10 to 11 a.m. Oct. 11 at the Weisenberg Lutheran Church, 7645 Weisenberg Church Road., New Tripoli. The service will be held 11 a.m. Oct. 11 at the church.
