Kenneth Wm. Thomulka

Kenneth Wm. Thomulka, Ph.D., 71, of Allentown, died Sept. 28, 2013, in his residence. Born in Mt. Holly, N.J., he was the son of the late William and Betty (Woods) Thomulka.

He received his bachelor's of science degree in bacteriology from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. He attained his master's of science degree and doctorate in microbiology, microbial physiology and microbial genetics from Hahnemann Medical College.

He was a professor at the Philadlephia College of Pharmacy and Science, Camden County College, Gloucester County College, and most recently at Gwynedd Mercy College.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed bowling, camping and stamp collecting.

He was an assistant Scout Master for Troop 71 in Macungie, past treasurer for the Upper Milford Field and Stream Assoc., and served as an assistant coach for several soccer and baseball teams for the Upper Milford Youth Association.

He is survived by Cade Upanavage and their sons, Alex and Daniel Thomulka, of Emmaus; sons, Thomas K. and his wife Denise, of Collingswood, N.J., Richard K. of Collingswood, N.J., Andrew K. of Cherry Hill, N.J.; daughter, Jenny Lynn and her husband Terry Sullivan, of Perkasie; grandchildren, Steven, Gregory, Michael, Cory, Callista, Cassiddy, Katelyn, and Brooke. He was predeceased by a sister, Susan Kissner.
