Edna M. Mantz, 100, of Macungie, died Sept. 29, 2013. She was the wife of the late Edmund W. Mantz, who died Sept. 1, 1995. Born in Hoffmansville, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Lillian (Frederick) Hermany.
She worked at the former Emmaus Shirt Factory and was a housewife, mother and foster mother.
She was the oldest member of St. Paul's U.C.C., Trexlertown, where she taught Sunday school and assisted at craft fairs.
She was a 57 year member, former officer, and 4-H leader of Trexlertown Grange No. 1755, and also active in county, state and national grange organizations.
Her interests included word games and reading the Bible.
She is survived by a daughter, Joanne L., wife of Leonard J. Heim; grandson, Jamie A. Heim; caregiver, Katherine Brago.
