Ruth I. (Moyer) Huyett-Hertzog, 89, of Emmaus, died peacefully Sept.17, 2013, at Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the wife of Wilmer A. Hertzog. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late John Elmer and Esther Mae (Hollenbach) Moyer.

She was employed with the East Penn School District, retiring in 1986. She later worked for the Borough of Emmaus and also Lower Macungie Township.

She was a member of the Garden Club of Emmaus, the Emmaus Seniors and the Lower Macungie Seniors.

She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband; two children, Karen A. and her husband Myles Werley, of Allentown and Kevin A. Huyett and his wife Madeleine T. (Carr), of Alburtis; seven grandchildren, Alison and her husband Shawn Huyett, Mark Werley and his wife Elizabeth (Barrall), Erika Huyett, Alexander Huyett, Philip Werley, Elspeth Huyett and Ian Huyett; two great-grandchildren, Owen Cowley and Matthew Werley; daughter-in-law, Rosemarie (Kwolek) Huyett; brother, James Moyer; two stepsons, Glenn and Alan Hertzog. She was predeceased by her first husband, Albert O. Huyett; son, Keith A. Huyett; twin sister, Dorothy Kohl; three sisters, Esther Moyer, Florence Wentzel and Laura Guthier; two brothers, John and George Moyer.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. The Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, Reiffton is in charge of the arrangements.
