Stephen P. Papay, 55, of Slatington, died Sept. 22, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital and Health Network, Bethlehem, as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was the husband of Vicky L. (Muffley), for 33 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of Stephen and Nancy (Finley) Papay of Slatington.

He was a graduate of Slatington High School.

He was the saw operator for Penn Big Bed Slate Company, Slatedale, for the past 40 years.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a son, Shaun P. of Allentown; a daughter, Nikita L. and her husband Ross Verbich of Levittown; a brother, Jeffrey and his wife Cindy Papay of Slatington; a granddaughter, Samantha Papay; and a nephew; Ryan and his wife Amanda Papay.

Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Sept. 26 before the 1 p.m. services at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067.
