Lucille Carmitchel, 89, of Catasauqua, died Sept. 19, 2013, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Glenn N. Carmitchel. They observed 65 years of marriage.

She was a daughter of the late Marvin and Clara (Schmoyer) Smith.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Gwen L. and husband Donald Zefting of Fairport, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Lauren Zefting of Centreville, Va., and Scott Zefting of Fairport, N.Y.; a sister, Virginia and her husband Robert "Wabs" Chromiak of Catasauqua.

She was predeceased by four brothers and a sister.
