State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, R-134th, is co-sponsoring a Kids' Discovery Expo 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Da Vinci Science Center, 3145 Hamilton Boulevard Bypass, Allentown.

He will be joined by Sen. Pat Browne, R-16th.

The Allentown Symphony Orchestra will be on hand to offer an "instrument petting zoo," a chance for kids to get a hands-on feel for a wide variety of musical instruments.

There will be door prizes, refreshments and other entertainment.

Also present will be representatives from the organization Cops 'N Kids, which seeks to develop relationships between children and police while promoting literacy.

The event will be held rain or shine.

"This is an opportunity you don't want your children to miss," Mackenzie said. "There will be something everyone will be able to find to enjoy, regardless of age."
