Kenneth O. Marks, 90, of Emmaus, died in his home Sept. 21, 2013. He was the husband of Eleanor Rose (Wertman) Marks. He married his high school sweetheart shortly after the war. They were married for the past 68 years. Born in Vera Cruz, he was the son of the late Ralph O. and Hattie E. (Stickler) Marks.
He served in the Marine Corps during World War II and served in the reserves for over 20 years.
He was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1941.
He was employed at Mack Trucks for 43 years, retiring as a final inspector at the Macungie plant.
He was a member of VFW Post 9264, Macungie, and its honor guard.
He was a member of Zion's Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Patricia; sisters, Esther Slack, Eleanor Miller, Joyce Reichelderfer, Mildred and her husband Donald Endy, Doris and her husband Patrick Moore, Alverda Grello; brother, Larry and his wife Ann. He was predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen Eleanor Rose; brother, Marvin R.
Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A viewing will take place 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
