Elizabeth Lomicky, 96, of Luther Crest, Allentown, died Sept. 20, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Joseph Lomicky who died in 1987 following 47 years of marriage.
She was a registered nurse graduating from Norwegian Lutheran Deaconess Hospital, Brooklyn, N.Y. Born in New York City, she raised her family in Patchogue, Long Island, where she worked in various hospitals and doctor's offices.
She moved to Allentown in 1997 and was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus. She was an active member of the church's senior group and participated in activities at Luther Crest where she resided.
She enjoyed traveling, reading, old-time movies and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Robert, of Allentown; daughter, Carol and her husband Mike Darlow, of Parlin, N.J.; six grandchildren, Joseph, Karin, Jennifer, Emily, Robyn and Susan; seven great-grandchildren, Christopher, Peter, Emerson, Lauren, Andrew, Ryan and Owen; sisters, Olga Hemayer, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. and Anne Svec, of Whiting, N.J.

Calling hours will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 1629 W. Hamilton St., Allentown and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday in the church with services 11 a.m. at The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus.
