Virginia R. Moyer, 90, formerly of Breinigville, died Sept. 12, 2013. She was the wife of the late Calvin R. Moyer. Born in Emmaus, she was a daughter of the late Llewellyn and Mary R. (Knauss) Haines.

She was a 1941 graduate of Emmaus High School, and a lifelong member of the Emmaus Moravian Church.

She was employed by the former Freihoffer Bakery, Allentown, before retiring. Prior to that, she was employed at the former Emmaus Shirt Factory for 10 years. She began her career in the cafeteria of the Jefferson Elementary School in the East Penn School District and stayed for 17 years.

She is survived by a son, Robert C. of Breinigsville; grandchildren, Tammy Ragonese and Shannon McNeil; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen, of Coopersburg; nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by brothers, Howard and Franklin Haines.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the church or to the American Cancer Society.
