Anthony D. Cornetto Jr.

Anthony D. Cornetto Jr., 63, of Macungie, died Sept. 12, 2013, in his residence surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Elaine (Eppel) Cornetto. Born in Easton, he was the son of the late Grace (Carey) and Anthony D. Cornetto Sr.

His experience over 40 years in the transportaiton industry ranged from a shop mechanic to the director of parts and service departments for manufacturers, retiring in 2012.

He was a member of St. John's U.C.C., Emmaus.

He loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the Alburtis Rod and Gun Club, North American Fishing Club, and the Macungie VFW.

He honorably served his country as a medic in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He earned the Army Commendation Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal with two OS Bars.

He is survived by his wife; son, Anthony D., III and his wife Courtney, of Severna Park, Md.; daughter, Paulette and her husband Brent Labenberg, of Emmaus; brothers, Carmen and his wife Freda, of Baltimore, Md., and Samuel and his wife Lori, of Allentown; sisters, Rose and her husband Matthew Gualano, of Allentown and Santa and her husband Pete LeVance, of Easton; grandchildren, Drew, Darren, Dylana, Isabella, Sylvie and Lilia.

Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to the Easton Area High School Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, both c/o the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus, 18049.
