Stephen C. Hollenthoner Jr., 81, of Macungie, died Sept. 5, 2013, in his residence. He was the husband of the late Jane D. (Sell) Hollenthoner. Born in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Stephen C. Hollenthoner Sr. and Martha M. (Furler) Rice.
He worked at Air Products and Chemicals in SEMCE, retiring in 1993 as a high tech assembler.
He honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a lifetime member of the Unami Fish and Game, member of the Macungie VFW, and was a band member of the Shangri-La's for many years.
He is survived by a son, Van E. and his wife April of Emmaus; three daughters, Lynn L. and her husband Tim Ray of Badin, N.C., Lori J. Scheirer-Roth and her husband Michael Franges of Allentown, and Holly A. and her husband Dominic Abruzzese of Emmaus; companion, Betty Haberle of Macungie; a brother, Edgar of Easton; two sisters, Alice Epler of Allentown and Margaret Leons; nine grandchildren, Jeremy, Stephen, Luke, Candace, Mercede, Mark, Jane, Samantha, and Leia; and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by brother, Raymond; and two sisters, Ruth Conrad and Florence.
