Jean H. Vitek, 71, of East Allen Township, died Aug. 26, 2013, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of John P. Vitek. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 23.

Born in Stoney Lonesome, Summit Hill, Carbon County, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Helen (Heffelfinger) Breiner.

She was a seamstress for the former Tama Manufacturing Company and the former Fernbrook Garment Company, both of Northampton, for many years. She was also a Home Interiors displayer.

She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Howertown, East Allen Township.

She is survived by her husband; son, John P. Jr. and his wife Doreen of Danielsville; daughters Pamela and her husband Luke Heist of Allentown and Debora and her husband Brian Vandergrift of Northampton; grandchildren, Megan, Paula, Rebecca, Brian, Jessica, Luke, Danielle and John; stepgrandchildren, Meggan and Nichole; great-grandchildren, Colton, Lillian, Jordon and Bentley, due any day; sister Carla and her husband William Miller of Coudersport, Potter County.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Ronald, Orville and Larry.
