Camera, money stolen

Coplay Police are investigating the theft of a digital camera and $8 taken from a Giant Food employee's purse Aug. 30.

The employee, a resident of Coplay, reported to police no items were missing from her purse when she went to the locker during her shift. After her shift, she told police she looked in her purse to discover the money and camera missing, police said.

The camera was valued at $200, police said.

Vehicles collide

Two vehicles sustained minor damage following a collision Aug. 28.

Raymond Adams III of Whitehall was operating a 2014 Ford Escape northbound on North Third Street, Whitehall when he entered the intersection after slowing down at the stop sign, police said.

His vehicle collided with a 2000 GMC pickup truck driven by Paul Lauser III of Whitehall, police said.

Adams told police he did not see the other vehicle as he drove into the intersection, police said.

Automobile damaged by beer bottle

Police received a report a beer bottle had been thrown through the rear window of a 2005 Hyundai Aug. 29.

The vehicle owner, an Allentown resident, said he was inside a residence in the 700 block of Chestnut Street when he heard a loud noise. He went outside and discovered the damage, police said.

He told police he observed the taillights of a vehicle traveling west on Chestnut Street, police said.
