The late Ron "Punkin" Miller, who served as the Allentown Fair's public address announcer for 35 years, was honored by the fair Aug. 29 when his portrait was unveiled inside the AgriPlex foyer.
Miller who died in February, also served as ABE Car Care's commercial spokesman and co-host of a weekend sports-talk radio show.
He also served as emcee for many of the fair's festivities, including senior citizen and kids' programs.
His personality made him a local celebrity most often remembered in Punkin and Homer Schneck sketches with his friend John Donmoyer.
