Disturbance

Coplay Police on Saturday evening responded to a report of a disturbance in the unit block of North Fourth Street.
Police said profanities were heard from a house across the street. Officers attempted to make contact with the occupants of the house where the yelling reportedly came from by identifying themselves and asking the occupants to come to the door, police said.
Thomas Stengel approached the door and began yelling at the officer, saying he and his partner were having an argument, police said.
The officers advised Stengel to keep the noise down. However, Stengel slammed the door shut and screaming resumed, police said.
Stengel will receive a citation for disorderly conduct, police said.
Theft reported
Chantel Hineline, 30, of Coplay, was cited Sunday for the theft of $33.44 worth of merchandise.
Police said they were summoned to Giant Food, Cherry and Chestnut streets, by store personnel.
Officers said upon their arrival the market's security personnel had Hineline in custody for the theft.
Sulfur odor
reported
Police and the borough's fire department on Thursday night responded to a report by of a sulfur odor in the 200 block of Coplay Street.
Fire department personnel handled the call, police said.
