David E. Acker, 72, of Emmaus, died Aug. 19, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of the late Jean B. (Glass) Acker. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Herbert J. and Ruth M. (Stoudt) Acker.

He worked as a wood finisher for Allen Organ Company for 29 years, retiring in 2006.

He is survived by a sister, Faith E. Wagner, of Emmaus; niece, Ruthann Phillips, of Emmaus; nephew, Randy Wagner, of Allentown. He was predeceased by a brother, Delano "Sunny" Acker.
