Arlene D. Smoyer, 80, of Macungie, died Aug. 21, 2013, at Lehigh Commons. She was the wife of the late Paul R. Smoyer. Born in Lower Macungie Township, she was the daughter of the late Nevin and E. Irene (Heistand) Schueck. Before retiring in 1993, she worked as a clerk at Mack Trucks World Headquarters for 25 years.

She was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd UCC, Alburtis.

She was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1951.

She is survived by sons, Gary R. and his wife, Teresa, of Shippensburg, William N. and his wife, Nancy, of Herrick Center; daughters, Paula R., and her husband Robert Werley, of Allentown, Nancy A. and her husband John Bean, of Coopersburg, Wendy I., of Walnutport; brother, Lloyd Schueck and his wife, Lynn, of Macungie; sisters, Joyce Furry, of Lower Macungie, Ruth Ann Schueck, of Allentown, Sandra and her husband, Arthur Bernecker, of Allentown; grandchildren, Cindy, Scott, Doug, James, Jess, Jennifer, Harlee, Cheyenne; great-grandchildren, Jake, Ella, Ryan, Parker.
