Martha J. Snyder, 85, formerly of Emmaus, died Aug. 14, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of the late Raymond J. Snyder. Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Earl E. and Lillian (Schell) Parry.

She was a 1946 graduate of Palmerton High School. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for the former Arbogast and Bastian for 19 years.

She was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church.

She was a member and treasurer of Citizens Fire Co. #1 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by two nieces and one nephew; seven great-nieces and nephews and five great-great-nieces and nephews.
