Mabel I. Wetzel, 78, of Alburtis, died Aug. 10, 2013, in Manor Care, Allentown, where she was a patient since February. Born in Longswamp Township, she was a daughter of the late Alvin H. and Verna M. (Romig) Wetzel.

She is survived by sisters, Pearl A., widow of Edwin T. Boeshore, of Topton, Betty V., widow of Kermit Herbster, of Topton, Marie H. and her husband Leroy J. Lesher Jr., of Macungie, Nancy E. and her husband Bruce W. Bieber, with whom she resided; brothers, LeRoy C. and his wife Christine, of Mertztown, Nevin O. and his wife Anna M., of Alburtis, Lewis E. and his wife Janette of Macungie, Floyd R., widower of Anna M. of Alburtis, Ralph L. and his wife Donna, of Oley, Clair W. and his wife Virginia of Mertztown, Wayne E. and his wife Cynthia of Macungie. She was predeceased by a brother, Edgar L. husband of Sharon of Red Hill, Montgomery County.

Funeral services are private at the convenience of the family. The Ludwick Funeral Homes Inc., Topton, is in charge of arrangements.
