Joseph DeSalvatore, 84, of Allentown, formerly of Millbrook Chase Community and Emeritus of Allentown, died Aug. 7, 2013, in ManorCare Health Services, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late JoAnn W. (Scarola) DeSalvatore. Born in Messina, Sicily, he was the son of the late Antonino and Domenica (Giglio) DeSalvatore.

He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.

He worked as a dress cutter in the garment industry in New York City for many years until retiring.

He is survived by a son, Anthony R. and his wife, Joan of Allentown; granddaughter, JoAnn M. of Allentown; brother, Nicola.
