Coplay police

Hit-and-run crash reported

Coplay Police Aug. 10 were called to the Giant Food parking lot on a report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash.

Evelyn Rothdeutsch reported shortly before 6 p.m. she had been shopping at the market and returned to her vehicle to find damage to the left front end of her 1999 Ford Contour, police said.

Officers assist North Catasauqua

Borough police Aug. 5 responded to the 100 block of Second Street, North Catasauqua, at 6:56 p.m.

Both North Catasauqua officers were on another call at the time, police said.

Police said the call was resolved without incident.

Vehicle mirrors damaged

Police are conducting an investigation into a complaint of criminal mischief that occurred Aug. 6.

Patrol officers said the driver's side mirrors to two vehicles parked in the 1100 block of Chestnut Street were damaged. The two vehicles were parked at the rear of a residence.

Cooper wire stolen

A representative of SBA Network Services reported Aug. 5 approximately 140 feet of copper wire was stolen from the cell tower in the 200 block of Maple Street.

Work was being performed at the site. The copper wire had been fenced in at an area for two weeks before it was found missing, police said.

The wire is valued at approximately $250, police said.
