Robert J. Kislow III, 27, of Danielsville, died July 30, 2013, at his home. He was the son of Robert Jr. and his wife Kathy Kislow of Northampton and Brenda (Custis) Kosik of Oro Valley, Ariz.
He was a 2004 graduate of Northampton HS. After serving in the military, he continued his education at Northampton Community College and earned an associate degree in automotive technology.
He served his country in the Army 82nd Airborne as a specialist in the Iraq War Operation Enduring Freedom VI in Afghanistan, being wounded and earning a Purple Heart.
He was last employed as a carpenter for Greenstone Commercial, Slatington, for two years.
He was a member of the Freedom Hunters, Silver Springs, Colo.; Wounded Warriors Project, Washington, D.C.; member and recipient of the Homes for our Troops, Traunton, Mass.; and a member of H.A.V.A.(Honored American Veteran Afield). He was a life member of the V.F.W., Post #7293, Whitehall.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiance, Amanda L. Snyder of Danielsville; a son, Brayden; a daughter, Kyla of Danielsville; three brothers, Jason and his wife Breanna Kislow of Modesto, Calif., Michael Kislow of Northampton, and Ryan Kislow of Northampton; a sister, Jordan and her husband Mitch Brady of San Diego, Calif.; paternal grandparents, Robert and Dolores Kislow Sr. of Bethlehem; maternal grandparents, Darrell and Sandra Batten of Show Low, Ariz; grandparents, Peter and Karen Papay of Slatington; an aunt, Renee Rusyn and her companion Luke Fritzinger of Bath; and two cousins, Natalie and Larisa.
