David J. Elek, 55, of Wescos-ville, lost his battle with cancer and died in his home Aug. 2, 2013. He was the husband of Deborah (Krouse) Elek for 27 years. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of John and Yolanda Elek, of Macungie.

He was a 1976 graduate of Emmaus High School.

He will be loved and missed by many.

He is survived by his wife; parents; daughters, Emily and Elizabeth; brother, Douglas.

Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the Brubaker Funeral Home, Catasauqua.
