John M. Torok Jr., 79, of Allentown, died July 16, 2013, in his home. He was the husband of Anna Marie M. (Bacher) Torok for 57 years.

Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he was a son of the late John and Theresa (Sakasitz) Torok.

He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

He was a roofing estimator for various roofing companies for many years.

He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Allentown.

He was an active member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 454, Northampton. He was a past commander from 2007-2010 and a member of the funeral honor guard. He was presently an adjutant. He was instrumental in the renovation project at the Northampton Veteran Memorial.

He was a member of the St. Peter and Paul Hungarian Hall, Northampton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kathy A. and her husband Dominic Molinari, of Allentown; a son, John J. III and his wife Diane, of Allentown; six grandchildren, Anthony, Alissa, Nicholas, Rachel, John IV and Sarah; and a sister, Patricia Ann and her husband Seth Webb, of Langley, Wash.

He was predeceased by a brother, Frank; and a granddaughter, Anna Diana.
