Thomas H. Appleton, 75, of Mertztown, died July 28, 2013, in St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Donna M. (Leibenguth) Miller Appleton.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, the Coast Guard and was in the Civil Air Patrol.

He was employed by Laidlaw, formerly Leibensperger Transportation, as a school bus driver in the Allentown School District for 28 years, retiring in 2007. He was also a newspaper franchise dealer for the Morning Call for 38 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Andrew H. and his wife Deborah, Dawn K. and her husband Daren Lyons, Kevin G. and his wife Jody Miller, and Douglas J. and his wife Diane Miller; a brother, Richard and his wife Joyce; 10 grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

Services are private.
