Timothy E. Dorwart, audio, music industry executive

Timothy E. Dorwart, 58, formerly of Whitehall, died July 15, 2013, after a 10-year fight with cancer. Born in Allentown, he was a son of Betty M. (Dresher) Dorwart of Whitehall and the late Nelson H. Dorwart. He was the husband of Janet Dorwart for 32 years.

He had more than 30 years of sales, manufacturing and management experience in the pro audio and music industries. He was a vice president with Bose Corporation and DMX Music. He was CEO of the Stanton Group and guided the sale of the Stanton Group to Gibson Guitar Corporation, forming their new Pro Audio Division, where he was general manger. He was most recently the CEO of Community Professional Loudspeakers, Chester.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three children, Adrian and his wife Tracy of Whitehall, Shon-del and her husband Randy Krebs of Carlisle and Corey of Reston, Va.; two brothers, Russel Dorwart and his fiancée Jane Fischetti of Philadelphia and Curtis and his wife Denise Dorwart of Lexington, N.C.; four grandchildren, Liam, Cassidy, Kaitlin and Kyler; nieces; nephews; and a goddaughter.
