Nancy J. Moats, 77, of Whitehall, died July 18, 2013, at home. She was the wife of the late Carl H. Moats for 44 years.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Edith (Deily) Thomas.
She was a cafeteria worker at Whitehall High School for more than 22 years until she retired. She was a cook and waitress at the Fullerton Fire Hall for many years.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Fullerton.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliaries of Fullerton Fire Company and the Fullerton American Legion Post 367.
She is survived by a daughter, Denise M. and her husband Carl Harry of Bethlehem; a son, Douglas M. and his wife Charlotte (Kurucz) Moats of Texas; three grandchildren, Carl Harry Jr., Melissa Ryberg and Ashley and her husband Stephen Barnwell; three great-grandchildren, Kira, Hailee and Brooke; seven sisters, Grace Peters of Fla., Janet and her husband Edward Searfass of Allentown, Bobbi and her husband Gene Shannon of Fla., Sandie Easterwood of Ormrod, Linda Gray of Reading, Debra and her husband Michael McBeth of Alburtis, and Sue Koval of N.C.; two brothers, Richard K. Thomas of Whitehall and Donald "Jack" Thomas of Fla.; and extended family.
