Joseph C. Butrymowicz, 87, of Hanover Township, died July 12, 2013, at Moravian Village, Bethlehem. Born in Shenandoah, he was a son of the late Peter and Mary Butrymowicz. He was the husband of Jean (Koritko) Butrymowicz for 45 years.
He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran in the European and Pacific Theatres.
He worked for Mack Trucks Inc. in the export shipping department of the Somerville, N.J. plant.
He was a parishioner of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, Bethlehem, where he was a pierogie maker.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Sonja Mawson of Mo. and Tania Tafilowski of N.C.; a son, Alex Terebey of York; a brother, John Butrymowicz of Manville, N.J.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Steven Terebey; four brothers, Peter, Chester, Stanley and Charles; and four sisters, Anna, Mildred, Helen and Mary.
