Ralph E. Bentley, 70, of Emmaus, died July 17, 2013, in New Tripoli. He was the husband of the late Frieda L. (Schock) Bentley who died Jan. 31, 2012. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late George and Evelyn (Dimmick) Bentley.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus.

He was an electronics technician for Western Union for more than 30 years, retiring in 1991.

He is survived by sons, Ralph E. Jr. of Emmaus, Stephen H. and his wife Susan of New Tripoli, and William C. of Emmaus; sister, Susan Craig; grandchildren, Morgan and Jacob. He was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Hunter; brother, George.
