Helen F. Monroe, of Allentown, formerly of Macungie, died July 21, 2013, in Westminster Village, Allentown. Born in Norristown, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Theresa (Zone) Potter.
She worked as a legal secretary for 25 years in the Lehigh Valley prior to retiring.
He was a former Macungie councilwoman and a former member of the Macungie Planning Commission.
As a 1953 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School, she was active for many years on the Reunion Planning Committee.
She is survived by a son, Kyle and his wife Marianne of Millersburg; daughters, Valerie and her husband Leonard Myers of Fleetwood, and Stephanie and her husband Christopher Maurer of Emmaus; brothers, Frank in Florida, and Robert and his wife Joan in Nevada; sisters, Kathleen Potter and Mary Roberts, both of Emmaus, and Susan and her husband Peter Deringer in Bethlehem; grandchildren, Matthew, Adam, Joseph, Erin, Patrick and Nicole.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Allentown. Calling will be held Wednesday 8:30 to 9:40 a.m. in the O'Donnell Funeral Home, 908 Hanover Ave., Allentown.
