Charles S. Blum, 78, died July 13, 2013, at his home in Fullerton. He was the husband of Bette L. (Steele) Blum for 53 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Henry J. and Cecelia (Bruckner) Blum.

He was a 1952 graduate of Whitehall High School and later graduated from Kutztown University.

He was in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He worked for GAC and then for Erie Insurance. He retired in 1997 as a senior claims supervisor after 37 years of service.

He was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church.

He was a member of the Golden Agers group and of the Fullerton American Legion Post 367.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Lisa L. Rodriguez and Lynn A. Roman; four grandchildren, Alexandra and her husband Joshua Miller, Adriana Rodriguez and Sela and Jack Roman; a great-granddaughter, Riley; a niece; and a nephew.

He was predeceased by a brother, James Blum.
