Robert J. Bickel, 72, of Macungie, died peacefully July 7, 2013, at the St. Luke's VNA Hospice House, Lower Saucon Township. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Francis and Verna (Hanssen) Bickel.

He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1958, and later worked for Kohas Vending, retiring in 2008.

He loved going to flea markets and attended Holy Ghost Catholic Church.

He is survived by a nephew, Paul Pickett and his wife, Jane; niece, Tina; brother-in-law, Frank Kalman. He was predeceased by brothers, William and Daniel; sister, Nancy Kalman.
