Mary D. Reed, 92, formerly of Emmaus, died July 7, 2013, in Country Meadows. She was the wife of the late Charles T. Reed Sr. Born in Emmaus, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Posh) Vargo.

She worked for the former Emmaus Pajama Factory for many years and later for the former Hess's South, retiring in 1973.

She was a 70-year member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus.

She is survived by a son, Charles T. Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Macungie; brother, William Vargo and his wife, Rose, of Zionsville; grandson, Joseph and his wife, Jacqueline, of Carversville; and great-grandson, Matthew; three nieces; two nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Buss.
