George Goosley, 85, of Bethlehem, died July 6, 2013. Born in Taylor, he was a son of the late Stephen and Mary (Hrubenak) Goosley. He was the husband of Mercedes (Gonzalez) Goosley for 65 years.
He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He worked for Bethlehem Steel Corporation, retiring as an inspector in the Beam Yard after 44 years of service.
He was a member of Lynn's Athletic Association.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Ronald and his wife Michele, Stephen and his wife Naomi, Mercedes "Mitzi", Joseph and his wife Priscilla, William, and Kristin; 10 grandchildren Phillip, Michael, Brandon, Rebecca, George, Anthony, Nicholas, Ronald, Jennifer and Stephen; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Nueber; three brothers John, Joseph and Michael Goosley; and an infant son, George Goosley.
