Arlene B. Schell, 72, of South Carolina, formerly of Emmaus, died June 15, 2013, in St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, S.C. Born in Coopersburg, she was the daughter of the late Elton C. and Beatrice K. (Hassler) Sterner.

She worked as an LPN for many years.

She was an active member of Asbury-St. James United Methodist Church, Charleston, S.C.

She is survived by children, Kayann Januchowski of Charleston, S.C., Daniel of Summerville, S.C. and Joel of Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters, Kathryn Yoder and Jeanette Tindula.

A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A visitation will take place 1 to 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
