Ruth H. Schreiber, 94, formerly of Emmaus, died June 17, 2013, in Lehigh Center, Macungie. She was the loving wife of the late Carroll F. Schreiber who died June 7, 2006. Born in Cetronia, she was a daughter of the late Erwin W. and Helen M. (Fenstermaker) Helfrich. She was a homemaker, but prior to marriage, she was the treasurer in the office of Muhlenberg College.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Allentown, where she volunteered, was the pianist in the Trexler Bible class, and member of Dorcas Circle. She was a member of the former Grace E.C. Church where she was also the pianist.

She was a former member of UGI Blue Flame Retirees where she served as a past secretary.

She is survived by a son, Gerald A. and his wife, Theresa M., of Allentown; daughters, Janice L. Steckel, of Allentown, Peggy A. and her husband Harry E. Fisher III, of Emmaus; brother, James E., of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister, Kathryn H. Helfrich, of Allentown; grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, Melanie, Valerie, Christine, BethAnn; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by brothers, David G. and Robert T.; brothers-in-law, Spurgeon, and John Helfrich, and sister-in-law, Ann Helfrich.
