Phyllis J. Bortz, 83, formerly of Alburtis and Macungie, died June 22, 2013, in St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Richard Bortz who died in 2001. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Willard F. and Evelyn G. (Hieter) Boger.

She is survived by a son, Jack and his wife, Gail of Bethlehem; daughters, Deborah Ann and her husband Kenneth Miller of Lehighton; Cindy Lee and her husband James Nowe of Annapolis, Md.; Dr. Jill and her husband David Yannarell of Center Valley; Robyn and her husband James Brown of Orefield; grandchildren, Megan, Andy, Abby, Rachel, Sarah, Alexandra and Katie; one great-grandson, Alekzander.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, at the Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Road, Breinigsville. A calling hour will begin 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
