Millie F. Evert, 83, of Macungie, formerly of Slatington, died June 22, 2013, in the home of her daughter, Sheila. She was the wife of Earl J. Evert, of Slatington. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary this past February. Born in Slatington, she was the daughter of the late Francis W. and Agnes (Roberts) Zellner.

She worked in the finishing department for Robbie Sue for 15 years before retiring. Prior to that she was employed at Hess Brothers department store's administration office in Allentown.

She belonged to Bethel UCC, Slatington, where she was the Sunday School superintendent and a Sunday School teacher.

For 25 years she was the voting majority inspector in Slatington's 3rd Ward.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, Sheila and her husband Robert W. Wimmer, of Macungie; son, Dennis E. and his wife Dianna of Walnutport; grandchildren, Bradley of Munich, Germany, Brenda and Mei, both of Walnutport; great-granddaughter, Sariah of Walnutport.

A celebration of her life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, with a callling hour 10 to 11 a.m. in the Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd St., Slatington.
