Summer hours for the Coplay Public Library begin Saturday, June 29.

Hours are Monday-Thursday noon to 7 p.m., Friday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Last week's column had some errors in the details of the library programs. The correct information follows.

The summer reading program began June 17 and runs through Friday, Aug. 9.

The theme is "Dig into Reading!" Children through adults are welcome to attend.

Incentives are available for all age groups and participants are invited to an end-of-program party.

The library will feature a guest reader from the Disney store 2 p.m. every Tuesday through Aug. 6.

Special programs on the schedule include:

Saturday, June 22, 1 p.m. – "Eat a rainbow" led by a master gardener from the Pennsylvania State Cooperative Extension. Kids will learn about a colorful variety of fruits and vegetables. Games and samples will be provided. As a bonus, participants will plant a mini-garden with Kimi and Betsy.

Wednesday, July 17, 1 p.m. – "Construction Day!" with real construction equipment. Join the library to "Dig with Danny!"

Thursday, July 25, 7 p.m. – Movie night featuring "A Bug's Life" with popcorn and a drink.

Tuesday, Aug. 6, 6 p.m. – Adult gardening program "Edible Landscaping" led by a master gardener from the Pennsylvania State Cooperative Extension.

Saturday, Aug. 10 – Summer reading program end party. Food, games and prize drawings. All program participants will receive an invitation.
