Lois J. Koch, 85, of Allentown, formerly of Emmaus, died June 7, 2013, in the memory support neighborhood of Bridgeways at the Phoebe Home. She was the wife of the late Williard C. Koch. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Ida Mae (Eck) Eckert.
In addition to being a homemaker, she worked part-time at Rodale Press for several years.
An active member of St. John's United Church of Christ, 139 N. 4th St., Emmaus, she was a greeter, Sunday school teacher, and altar guild member.
She was a volunteer at the Allentown soup kitchen.
A health nut before it was fashionable to be called one, she loved her family, church and cats and will be lovingly remembered by her family.
She is survived by sons, Barry G., Kevin W. and his wife, Diane M., of Allentown; daughters, Deborah A. and partner, Lisa M., Kristin L. and her husband Rick Wentz, of Emmaus; grandchildren, Zachary and Anne Koch, Rachel and Erick Wentz, Rob Nicol; great-grandson, Owen Nicol. She was predeceased by a brother, Gerald.
