Reginald E. Lewis Sr., 89 of Whitehall, died June 6, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Katie (Wellman) Lewis.
Born in New Milford, he was a son of the late Reginald and Rachel (Tingley) Lewis.
He was a truck driver and was last employed by Encor Coatings, Bath, for 10 years before retiring in 1993. He drove for the former Matlack Trucking, Northampton, and for MCP Facilities Corporation. He was an independent driver for many years as well.
He was a third degree Mason with the Thompson Lodge of F & A.M., Thompson. He was a founding member of the New Milford Rod & Gun Club. He was a social member of the Egypt V.F.W. Post 7293. He was a member of the Teamsters and the U.A.W.
He is survived by three daughters, Betty A. and her husband William Fenstermaker of Whitehall, Shirley L. and her husband Gary Keeler of Walnutport, and Brenda K. and her husband Jeffrey Maritch of Bethlehem; a son, Reginald E. Jr. and his wife Karen of Coplay; two brothers; Frederick Lewis of Jackson and Ronald and his wife Doris Lewis of Laurys Station; a sister, Betty Jayne of Winchester, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by son, Jerry G. Lewis; a granddaughter, Kelly Keiper; a brother; Roger Lewis; two sisters; Marilyn Wellman and Evelyn Conklin; and two great-grandsons.
Arrangements were made by Schisler Funeral Home Inc., Northampton.
